by June 15, 2021It’s a great life being a member of a band – you make life long friends, and, journeying out into the wilds of Gigland to entertain a random bunchy of punters is always an exciting adventure, with a feeling akin to being a member of a unique platoon of special services fighters on the frontline of music – your band buddies have to have your back, you are expected to give your all for the cause, there are occasional disasters and many challenges along the way, but the unity of purpose, the way each contributes their feel and skills to the overall sound, the fact that the band cannot function without each member, and the great camaraderie after a successful gig brought the hopuse down – all this contributes to the passion musicians feel for their band.

SOME GREAT YEARS
After enjoying some great years as frontman for exciting Brisbane based rock band “Black Adder”, lead vocalist Malcolm Smith has has had to reluctantly resign as frontman, as love and family have called him across the Nullabor to relocate in sunny Perth, where he plans to reinvigorate his solo act and launch a new phase in his music career as a journeyman entertainer, doing what he does best and wowing audiences with his incredible high tenor voice, that is capable of such a wide range of repertoire, from silky ballads to explosive powerhouse rock.
Malcolm still has family connections in brisbane and hopes t5o be able to make the occasional journey back to Brisbane to connect with his great friends in Black Adder and hopefully jam or even find the ooportunity for some reunion gigs.
